When the guests of the Casale ask us what to see in Friuli Venezia Giulia, we always answer only with one word: "Everything!". Our territory is rich in history, culture and experiences to be lived. Using the agritourism as a starting point, you can dedicate your holiday to visit some suggestive places in our region.

A fascinating naturalistic place, an historical seaside village where you can breathe the past.

Marano Lagunare is history and magic.

It is a small fishing village that has remained unchanged over time, where flora and fauna are uncontaminated. It is the starting point to visit the lagoon on board a boat, passing through the huts where fishermen once lived and landing at the two natural reserves: the Valle Canal Novo Natural Reserve and, going up the Stella River, the Stella’s mouth Natural Reserve.

Marano Lagunare is also renowned for its traditional food and wine, where you can taste dishes based on fresh fish in one of the characteristic restaurants, next to the Millennial Tower among the chaotic streets of the town.

Lignano Sabbiadoro

With only 10 minutes by car from our agritourism, you can reach the beach of Lignano Sabbiadoro, internationally recognized also for obtaining the Blue Flag for environmental protection.

Lignano offers a peaceful sea, with 8 km of coastline, where you can enjoy the Adriatic sun with an equipped free beaches, and reserved beaches for dogs.

You can’t miss a cultural visit to the ancient city of Aquileia. It is an historical UNESCO heritage site, founded by the Romans in 181 BC. and it is recognized as one of the most flourishing cities of the Roman Empire.

In Aquileia you can admire one of the most famous symbols of religious architecture, the Patriarchal Basilica, where you can find the famous mosaics of the 4th century. And if you want to continue the visit, a few km from Aquileia there is Grado, a seaside town with a Venetian charm known as ‘Isle of the Sun’, where you can still see the characteristic fishing villages.

Between the mountainous area and the plain that leads to the Adriatic coast we find the Collio, a Friulian territory internationally recognized for its renowned wines. This is a perfect slow itinerary to enjoy good food and visit the prestigious wineries, passing through the historical hilltop villages and vast vineyards. Going on with the tour you will find Cividale del Friuli, a suggestive Lombard city on the Natisone’s river that will conquer you with its colors and its folklore.

Its symbol, the Devil's Bridge, will leave you speechless. You can get lost in the narrow streets and ancient squares of this small UNESCO heritage town.

San Daniele del Friuli is a town in the hills of Friuli worldwide recognized for the production of ham, the result of a millennial tradition and a unique microclimate. Here you will find the authenticity of the life of the past, the warmth of local tradition and the typical flavours of Friulian cuisine.

Ham factories and restaurants in the area will make you love the famous San Daniele ham in all its nuances. Along the Tagliamento river, a wild river considered one of the most fascinating European rivers, you can complete the itinerary with other stages to discover unique villages: Fagagna, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; Spilimbergo, one of the most interesting cities of art in Friuli with its renowned school of mosaic artists; Gemona del Friuli, icon of the past and symbol of reconstruction after the earthquake.

From here, all of Friuli will be within your reach.

Trieste

Our agritourism is located just an hour's drive from the cosmopolitan city of Trieste, which you can also easily reach by train from the Latisana railway station, which is only 5 minutes from the Casale. It is a Hapsburg city overlooking the gulf, with its majestic Piazza Unità d'Italia.

Its neoclassical and Viennese style buildings will lead you to historical cafés, meeting places for artists and writers of the past. A visit to the Miramare Castle will be inevitable, with its romantic architecture overlooking the sea. And along the famous Rilke path you will arrive at Duino Castle, a prestigious home of past artists.

Venice

In the opposite direction to Trieste, less than an hour's drive from our agritoruism, you can reach Venice, which does not need long descriptions! Magical, unique, romantic ...

Venice will thrill you. The best way to reach the city is by train, starting from the Latisana railway station just 5 minutes from the Casale.

Caorle

It is called the "Venice in miniature", a small gem on the sea just 30 minutes from our agritourism. Caorle is a very ancient town, it is an ancient fishing village, whose historic center shines with colorful Venetian-style houses.

You will get lost in the narrow and picturesque alleys, stopping in one of the many typical fish restaurants, and then take the artistic walk on the waterfront, made of artworks carved on the boulders.
